Pregnancy
Pregnancy
Pregnancy experiences and outcomes are dramatically disparate for different racial groups, especially for Black and Indigenous women. In addition, nearly half of all pregnancies in the United States occur when individuals do not desire them, and at least half of these pregnancies are carried to term. But research is limited about how women make decisions around their pregnancies and the types and quality of health care they are able to get. ANSIRH’s research aims to answer questions about racial disparities, women’s behavior, choices, desires, and needs during pregnancy.
