Providers and Counseling on Birth Control
Providers and Counseling on Birth Control
Broadening who offers contraception and their training on contraceptive options is important for increasing access. Also how providers counsel women about their options for contraception can impact women’s experiences with the health care system, their decision to use contraception and which method they choose. ANSIRH research has shown this is particularly important for young people, who report feeling judged by providers about their decisions on sex and contraception.
