Beth has a flashback to an abortion she had as a teenager. A requirement of her obtaining the abortion at Indian Health Services is sterilization, which she is not informed of and undergoes the procedure anyway. She does not travel to a Planned Parenthood for fear of other people finding out about the abortion.
