She's Gotta Have It (television)

She's Gotta Have It

In an argument after sex, Clorinda reveal to Mars she was pregnant when he started having sex with her best friend. She emphasizes the word "was" pregnant, implying but not directly stating that she had an abortion. Mars is shocked and angry that she didn't consult or tell him. When Mars asks why she didn't tell him, she says, "as an ardent feminist, I thought that any and everything I do with my body is my choice." He storms out.
