In the year 2089, archeologists set out out to explore an alien planet to discover humanity's forerunners, the "Engineers." They soon discover that they are not alone. During the course of the film, Noomi discovers that she's pregnant with an alien fetus. When she asks an android for an abortion, he says it is not possible. She goes to a surgery pod, requests a "cesarean," which she is denied because the pod is designed for men. She requests for the removal of a foreign body from her abdomen, and a robot reaches into her stomach and pulls out the alien.
