College freshman Hannah learns that she is the adopted survivor of a failed abortion. She travels to Alabama to track down her birth mother, and in doing so, discovers that she had a twin brother who died. She confronts bother her mother and a nurse who helped perform the abortion. Hannah also discovers that her parents adopted her after seeing an adoption ad at a local crisis pregnancy center, where they volunteered.
The film was inspired by a YouTube video about Gianna Jessen.
