After an anti-abortion protester is killed in an abortion clinic bombing, detectives search for all of her potential co-conspirators. They uncover a potential suspect, a known anti-abortion activist, only to discover that she was at the clinic to have an abortion, not to bomb it. One detective is reluctant to investigate the scene of the crime because of his anti-abortion beliefs, while another detective shares that an ex-girlfriend had a past abortion and is now happily married with children.
