Miranda Hill, PhD, MPH

Assistant Professor

Miranda Hill (she/her) is a social and behavioral scientist and dedicated champion for social justice in gender and health. Her work has primarily focused on understanding and addressing the unmet support needs of women and other medically underserved populations in HIV, sexual, and reproductive health. Her research agenda aims to drive transdisciplinary innovation in social medicine through community-led, culturally relevant, and empirically informed approaches. She primarily uses community-engaged qualitative and quantitative social network analysis to explore the complexities between systems, social networks, and HIV prevention and care outcomes among cisgender women and transgender populations. Most recently, her most recent line of research has centered on examining the intersectional contexts of sexual and reproductive (dis)engagement among migrant women, with the goal of developing holistic strengths-based interventions. Dr. Hill is also committed to the long-term goal of advancing career development pathways among traditionally excluded and underrepresented populations in public health and medicine through research, peer support, and mentorship.
