Linda Franck, PhD, RN, is the Senior Director of the UCSF Abortion Care Training Incubator for Outstanding Nurse Scholars (ACTIONS) Fellowship. The ACTIONS Fellowship is the first program in the nation that prepares nurses and midwives to become reproductive health leaders who can transform abortion, contraception, and sexual and reproductive health educational programs for future nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals; generate new research and policy on nursing, midwifery, and reproductive health workforce issues; and advance interdisciplinary curricula on reproductive justice. She is Professor Emerita in the School of Nursing and Professor (Recall) in the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. She is an affiliate faculty member of the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and the Center for Global Nursing. Her program of research includes advancing reproductive health equity through community and health systems research partnerships, as well as the evaluation of interdisciplinary sexual and reproductive health educational programs.
