Jessica Barnes, MSW

Project Director

Jessica Barnes is the Project Director for the End of Roe Study, which explores the health, legal, and economic consequences of abortion restrictions brought about by the recent Supreme Court decision. She joined ANSIRH with over a decade of experience managing social science research projects at Stanford University and UC Berkeley, and she has also consulted on various qualitative research projects with Ibis Reproductive Health. Jessica has a background in social work and counseling and worked for several years with sexual assault and domestic violence survivors, survivors of Hurricane Katrina, and emancipated foster youth. She’s interested in community-based research and increasing access to health and mental health care for marginalized communities. She received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MSW from Columbia University.
