ANSIRH is seeking three students to work closely with faculty and staff on our Abortion Facility Database. The student interns will be responsible for updating ANSIRH’s national database of abortion-providing facilities. The database was last updated in Summer/Fall 2023. The work will entail conducting a systematic online search, based on established methodology, and conducting mystery calls to facilities to gather information that is not available online. The student interns will work within a multi-disciplinary team at ANSIRH. ANSIRH values a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from candidates who are people of color or are otherwise historically excluded in abortion research.

About ANSIRH

Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) is a collaborative research group at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and a program of the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, a key research entity of the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) Division of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences (OB/GYN & RS) at UCSF. We are committed to integrity, collaboration, innovation, cultivation, and justice, and that means building and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we recruit and hire with an understanding of the lived realities of people who have experienced system oppression.

At ANSIRH, we conduct innovative, rigorous, multidisciplinary research on complex issues related to people’s sexual and reproductive lives. Our work is informed by an understanding of the role that structural inequities play in shaping health. We believe in the importance of research in advancing evidence-based policy, practice, and public discourse to improve reproductive wellbeing. We envision a world in which all people have the resources, support, and freedom to achieve reproductive wellbeing.
