  • Nicole Bloom, MA, PMP

    Project Director

    Nicole Bloom is a Project Director with ANSIRH for teams addressing public health approaches to abortion, evaluation of abortion restrictions, and drug and alcohol pregnancy policy studies.  Nicole is a whole-systems thinker and innovator with experience managing technology, people, projects, and programs to facilitate critical interdisciplinary conversations toward a healthier, more equitable and sustainable future.  Prior to joining ANSIRH, Nicole was the founding director of the Coordinating Center for the Osher Collaborative for Integrative Medicine, which includes seven Osher Centers in the U.S. and Sweden. Nicole, a certified Project Management Professional, previously served as executive administrator for the Chair and Research Programs for the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences.  Nicole graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and Wharton Business School, with dual degrees in mechanical engineering and organizational behavior management. An inventor with more than 20 patents, she designed and developed medical devices and diagnostics at startups and at IDEO product development. Nicole received her master’s degree from the Graduate Theological Union and for 13 years served as the Jewish chaplain for Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
