Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Set at the end of the 18th century in France, painter Marianne recalls her romance with Héloïse, a woman for whom she was hired to paint a portrait. Together, the two women help a maid, Sophie, obtain an illegal abortion. They end up painting a portrait of a woman having an abortion.
