Abortion portrayal

Monsterland (television)


In a flashback, we learn that Toni tried to obtain misoprostol to have an abortion, but couldn't afford it. Her friend Sunny started to perform an abortion on her using a harpoon needle, but Toni stopped her because of the pain. Toni explains that she thinks her daughter is "possessed" because, "she knows nobody wants her."
