Katrine Fønsmark discovers she is pregnant after an affair with the recently deceased Chief of Staff in Denmark, Ole Dahl. She initially decides to carry the pregnancy to term, but after awkward graveside exchange with Ole's widow and a conversation with her mother, she decides to have an abortion.
