ANSIRH seeks a part-time Data Analyst with strong quantitative data analysis skills to manage and analyze data from the California Home Abortion by Telehealth (CHAT) study, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Ushma Upadhyay. The incumbent will develop and support analysis plans, manage, clean and analyze project data, develop tables for manuscripts, draft methods and research results for manuscripts, participate in the dissemination of research findings via manuscripts and presentations, be co-author on manuscripts they contribute to, and provide other research/project support as needed. The Data Analyst will work within a multidisciplinary team at ANSIRH and will contribute to other research projects as needed.

Position requirements include experience with research design, implementation, and analysis. An enthusiasm for juggling multiple priorities and working across multiple teams will be considered. Comfort working in an environment in which abortion is discussed frequently is essential.

Please note: This is a one-year contract position, anticipated to end one year after hire. There is flexibility with a hybrid remote schedule, with work from home and on-site work in Oakland, CA, or fully remote.

Required Qualifications​

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics / epidemiology / public health / related field and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Experience with advanced level of statistical analysis in STATA or similar statistical analysis software
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced level of statistical analysis in STATA or similar statistical analysis software
  • Demonstrated ability to clean, code and analyze data in STATA statistical software or similar statistical analysis software
  • Advanced training in quantitative research methods
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to an intersectional framework that includes, gender, economic, and racial justice

The annual salary range for this part-time position is approximately $45,000, depending on experience.
